How To Find A Pharisee Pt28 (Acts 9:1-5)

Brother Nathan Bryant, March 7, 2018
Part of the How To Find A Pharisee series, preached at a Midweek Meeting service

"Paul didn't always have that tie post. He used to be tied to the group of the Pharisees. And he had to be trained and educated, so that they would accept him and let him tie himself to their post. But one day he was on the road down to Damascus, and he met Jesus, face to face. And from there he cut loose from his Pharisee-ic tie post; and re-tied himself again, that Jesus Who he knowed was crucified, died, and rose again. Paul knew it because he met the Person. That changed him right there. He was never the same from then on. He never just met a book. He never just met a--a creed. He met the Person, Jesus Christ."

Acts 9:1-5

1And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, 2And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. 3And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. (KJV)
